Matchstick Puzzles With Answers: How to Check Your Solution
How to use answers for matchstick puzzles without skipping the fun: confirm the move count, inspect every changed symbol, and verify the finished equation.
A correct matchstick-puzzle answer shows where the stick came from, where it went, and why the finished shape or equation obeys the original rule. For equation puzzles, the final arithmetic must also be true.

What a useful matchstick answer includes
A useful answer does more than show the finished picture. It identifies the match that moved, its destination, and the rule that makes the new arrangement valid. That lets you learn from the puzzle instead of simply copying a result.
For a one-match puzzle, count carefully: one segment must disappear from its original position and appear in a new position. If two sticks changed, or a stick was added from outside the puzzle, the answer does not match the rule.
Check the symbols before the arithmetic
In equation puzzles, first check whether every digit and operator is still a valid symbol. A completed line arrangement may look convincing but fail to represent a normal number or sign.
Then calculate the equation. A move is not correct merely because it produces neat-looking digits; the statement on both sides of the equals sign must agree.
Trying a few possibilities before revealing an answer makes the explanation more useful. You notice which segment can be removed without breaking a digit and which empty place could become meaningful when filled.
If you are stuck, use an answer as a hint: look for the changed operator, result, or one digit with a missing segment. Then return to the original puzzle and test the move yourself.
Check your move interactively
In HypeVoro’s Move One Match game, the answer is checked after you drag and place one match. You can experiment without seeing a full solution first, then move to the next puzzle after a correct equation.
An answer is useful when it explains both parts of a matchstick puzzle: where the match moved and why the final equation or shape follows the stated rule.
