Daily and Friend Challenges: How to Play, Compare and Share
How HypeVoro's Daily Challenge and friend challenges work: shared question sequences, first and best scores, streak rules, rematches, and sharing — all without an account.
The Daily Challenge gives everyone the same questions each UTC day; friend links replay one person's sequence with their score to beat. Retries improve bests without adding streak days, and all scores stay on your device.
Revision note: First published September 24, 2026: distinct guide to daily and friend challenges, written from the implemented game rules.
What are the three ways to play?
Quick play deals a fresh random question sequence every round: 30 seconds of two-operation maths while a fictional feed competes for your taps. Nothing is scheduled and nothing carries over.
The Daily Challenge uses one shared question sequence for each UTC calendar day, so everyone who plays today sees the same questions in the same order. A friend challenge replays the exact sequence from someone's finished round, together with the score they invite you to beat. All three modes run in your browser with no account and no sign-up.
How does the Daily Challenge work?
Each day at 00:00 UTC a new question sequence begins. Finish a daily round with at least one correct answer to earn that day: your first score of the day is kept, and replays can improve your best score for the day without adding extra days. Consecutive earned days form your daily streak, and yesterday's streak stays alive until today is missed.
Two timing rules keep comparisons fair. A round that crosses midnight still belongs to the day it started. An archived daily link from another day never fills a missed day — only today's sequence earns today. Feed timing and tile counts still vary with your pace, so equal questions do not mean identical rounds.
How do friend challenges and rematches work?
A challenge link carries the game version, the question seed, the score to beat, and the day for daily rounds. Open it to get the same question sequence, a score-specific start button, and a result comparison: beat, tied, or points to go. Shared scores are self-reported and never verified, so there is no cross-device leaderboard or population ranking.
After any result, Beat My Score repeats the same seed while keeping your highest score from that chain as the target, and Play Again keeps the current mode. Challenge a Friend opens your share sheet or copies a link; cancelling the share sheet or a failed copy is never counted as a success. Broken, future-dated, or older-version links simply fall back to a normal round.
Compare concrete parts, not just totals: accuracy, response time, mistakes, and the four stage summaries. Keep the same device and input method, try the practice round first, and remember that pace, practice, and hardware change results. Two runs are not a controlled experiment.
Your personal best, play counts, daily first and best scores, recent round history, and streaks live in this browser's local storage only. There is no account, no cross-device sync, and no public profile. Clearing browser data removes this progress, and anyone with a challenge link can read the seed and score inside it.
Separately, players who explicitly opt in contribute one anonymous round summary per finished round toward the public Focus Index methodology. That program is off by default and independent of advertising or analytics settings.
Try a round
Start with the untimed practice, then play the free 30-second challenge. Pick Quick play for a fresh sequence, the Daily Challenge for today's shared questions, or open a friend's link to take on their score directly.
Key takeaway
Daily rounds share one question sequence per UTC day; friend links share one sequence per challenge. Compare first and best scores, note device and practice differences, and treat every score as a game result, not a ranking of people.
