1. Siri AI is the headline change

Apple says Siri AI and Apple Intelligence features can vary by language and region. The company has also stated that Siri AI is rolling out in English and that some regions have additional limitations.

Users should therefore check Apple's current availability information rather than assuming a feature shown in a U.S. presentation will appear identically everywhere on September 15.

5. What about older iPhones?

The iOS 27 compatibility list extends much further back than the Apple Intelligence hardware requirements. Apple lists the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max, iPhone 12 family, iPhone 13 family, iPhone 14 family, iPhone 15 family and newer models, plus iPhone SE from the second generation onward.

For most compatible users, the decision is less about one killer feature and more about the combination of system changes, security updates and access to Apple's newer software platform. Users who specifically want Siri AI should pay closer attention to the beta and regional rollout status.
